Injuries happen on the field, the court, the track and in the arena. Our Gunter clinic helps athletes of every age heal the right way, rebuild strength and get back in the game with confidence, without missing more of the season than they have to.

WHAT WE TREAT
From Friday night football to weekend softball tournaments, rodeo and early morning runs, athletes around Gunter push their bodies hard. Some injuries happen in one bad moment. Others build up over a long season. We treat both.
- Ankle sprains and rolled ankles
- Hamstring, groin and calf strains
- ACL, MCL and meniscus injuries, including rehab after surgery
- Shoulder and elbow pain in throwing and overhead athletes
- Shin splints and running overuse injuries
- Tendinitis in the knee, heel, shoulder or elbow
- Low back pain from lifting and training
- Concussion recovery and return to play
Whether you are a middle school athlete, a varsity starter or an adult who still plays, the goal is the same: get you back stronger than before.
YOUR COMEBACK STARTS HERE
Step 1. Evaluate the whole athlete. We look at the injury and at how you move in your sport: cutting, jumping, throwing, landing and running. Weak links elsewhere are often why the injury happened.
Step 2. Protect and heal. Hands-on treatment, swelling control and the right amount of movement help tissue heal without losing all your conditioning.
Step 3. Rebuild strength and speed. Progressive strength, power and agility work built around your position, your sport and your season.
Step 4. Test before you play. Return to sport testing compares strength, balance and control side to side, so you go back to practice with proof you are ready.

At 903 PT, we focus on identifying & treating the root cause of your pain, not just the symptoms. Our licensed physical therapists use hands-on techniques and targeted exercise to deliver long-lasting relief and improved movement.

We help your body move the right way by building strength and improving flexibility to prevent future injuries. Our personalized physical therapy plans keep you active, strong, and confident long after your treatment ends.

Whether it’s work, sports, or everyday activities, 903 Physical Therapy is here to help you return to the life you enjoy without pain or limitation!

903 Physical Therapy treats sports injuries at 110 S 4th St, Suite 104, in Gunter. We work with athletes from Gunter, Tioga, Celina, Van Alstyne, Howe and Pilot Point, Monday through Thursday 7am to 6pm and Friday 7am to 2pm. Call 903-421-1786.
Not always. Texas law lets you see a physical therapist for an evaluation without a referral. If your injury needs imaging or a doctor, your therapist will tell you. Go to the emergency room for a suspected fracture, dislocation or head injury with worsening symptoms.
It depends on the injury and your sport. A mild sprain may take a couple of weeks, while an ACL reconstruction often takes many months. Your therapist uses strength and movement testing, not just the calendar, to decide when you are ready.
Yes. We treat young athletes and build their plan around their sport and season. A parent or guardian needs to complete paperwork and give consent for patients under 18, and we keep parents and coaches updated with your permission.
Complete rest is rarely the best answer. Most injuries heal better with the right kind of movement. A physical therapist shows you what you can keep doing, what to pause and how to stay in shape while you recover.
Return to sport testing measures strength, balance, speed and control on the injured side and compares it to the healthy side. It helps show when your body is ready for full practice and games, which can lower your risk of getting hurt again.
Yes. Our therapists provide concussion rehab for headaches, dizziness, balance problems and a safe step by step return to school and sport. Athletes should be cleared by a medical provider first, and anyone with worsening symptoms needs emergency care.
Yes. A therapist can spot weak links in strength, flexibility and movement before they turn into injuries, then give you a simple program to fix them. It is a smart step before a new season or after a past injury.
The Gunter clinic has an on site recovery sauna. It does not replace treatment, but it can be part of an athlete's recovery routine when their physical therapist says it fits the plan.
